Support for young people is of great importance to both Werder and wohninvest. The company, based in Fellbach near Stuttgart, have their own “wohninvest ACADEMY” which is their own academy for young people looking to work in the real estate business. “The new agreement is the perfect way to help promote the development of young people for both parties,” commented Christian Rauhut, director of sales at SV Werder.
wohninvest will support Werder’s talent team, which consists of the U10s to the U14s, as well as the eACADEMy, which scouts young FIFA talents from around the area.
“Werder are an important partner for us. The widening of our partnership has showed how important it is for us, but also how much we want to help strength the amazing work Werder does with its academy. We recognised early on how important the development of talent is for both companies. The future belongs to them”, explained Harald Panzer. The CEO of wohninvest added: “As one of the clubs with the most tradition and history in Germany, Werder have always enabled their members to take part in other sports, including handball and table tennis. We were happy to support the development in those sports too.”
wohninvest signed a contract in 2019 to become the partners of the stadium, which included the naming rights. Since then, Werder home games have taken place in the wohninvest WESERSTADION.
