Werder sign young Schalke hopeful

Following in the footsteps of Sebastian Boenisch and Mesut Özil, another Schalke player has opted for the move to Werder Bremen. From the beginning of next season, 17 year old Pascal Testroet will swap the ‘Royal-Blue’ shirt for Green-White. Werder agreed a deal with the youth international to bring him to Bremen until 2010.

Green light for Bremen’s football arena

Late on Monday evening, the board of management of Werder Bremen GmbH & Co KG aA voted unanimously for the conversion of the Weser Stadium into a true football arena. On Friday, March 7th 2008, the board of management of the ‘Bremer Weser Stadion GmbH’ (BWS) came to a similar conclusion.
