Keeping a clear head

The final international break of the year is over, and football has made its long-awaited return to the Osterdeich. After failing to win any of their last seven matches, Werder are looking to get back to winning ways. However, the midfielder decided to make a fresh start, and made the switch to SV Werder Bremen. Now, a year and a half later, he looks back on...

Believe in the process

The situation remains the same at SV Werder Bremen. Florian Kohfeldt’s side know how to play football, but have so far failed to grind out results and have often been left with either a draw or a loss. Davy Klaassen spoke in the Mixed Zone about the importance of the little things in Werder’s game, and once again addressed their winless run of seven Bundesliga matches.

Werder fullback Michael Lang has officially qualified for the 2020 European Championships with Switzerland. Rashica misses out on Euros qualification for now

Werder’s Milot Rashica and Kosovo were in with a chance of winning for most of the game against England, but there was no upset in the end. England made sure of that with three goals in quick succession shortly before full time to make it 4-0 (1-0 HT). We need to get back on track!

Werder’s five game unbeaten run came to an end on Sunday afternoon in Gladbach, falling to a 3-1 defeat. Dodging responsibility not Michael Lang's thing

There was an unfamiliar sight on the Werder training ground on Thursday. Michael Lang, who is usually a right-back, is practicing on the left side of the defence. It’s not necessarily going to become a habit for the Swiss man but for now it’s happening. "It’s like when you drive a car in London, it’s unusual at first," he said. "I'm right-back, that's where my strengths lie." But the 28-year-old...
